About The Position

We're currently hiring for Dietary Aide and Patient Ambassadors for the Food and Nutrition Department at Stonewall Memorial Hospital. We’re looking for friendly, compassionate team players to join our culinary team! Support a registered dietitian to ensure patients receive excellent nutritional care. Perform nutritional screenings and assessments, manage diet preferences and meal plans, and maintain patient care plans. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient receives quality care.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or an accredited diet technician program
Must be a Registered Dietetic Tech (RDT) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and/or a licensed dietitian (LD) or dietitian tech (LDT)
Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption (medical or religious) upon start of employment

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Responsibilities

Complete nutritional assessments for patients to create care plans with nutritional goals
Document assessments of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
Provide oversight for patient services and production staff and monitor meal service
Ensure patient preferences are recorded on meal tickets and that all meals and snacks adhere to the resident’s needs
Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
