About The Position

The Nutrition & Food Services Patient Ambassador may have the following duties: May portion foods for tray services, prepare and deliver patient nourishments and courtesy trays according to safe and sanitary institutional foodservice principles. This Patient Ambassador communicates with patients, families, supervisors, nursing and co-workers. Responsible for obtaining menu selections, delivering and retrieving patient meal trays, nourishments and courtesy trays, providing individualized assistance to every patient, must be conscious of details in meal presentation and service, must correctly identify each patient while maintaining confidentiality. Professional behavior is required at all times.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and follow spoken and / or written instructions in English
• Ability and stamina to work well with others in close quarters while meeting tight time schedules
• Manual dexterity and motor coordination
• Ability to move, transport trays, carts, equipment and supplies
• Ability to use or learn the use of handheld computer devices

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED
• Some training and/or background in Customer Service
