This role is located at the Southcoast Business Center in Fairhaven, MA, and will follow a hybrid schedule. The Patient Accounts Representative will be responsible for the appropriate billing and collections of receivables for Southcoast Hospitals Group, utilizing various software, including Epic, to process patient accounts. This involves reviewing and analyzing billing and denial information, and contacting insurers, employers, patients, and other hospital departments to resolve outstanding accounts.

Requirements

Education equal to the completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Third party medical billing experience with knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD coding is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Excel and Word preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of office experience or billing certification from an accredited school is preferred.
