About The Position

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood, is seeking a motivated Patient Accounting to join our team. Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Perform chart assembly, preparation, review, and filing/scanning.
• Assist with patient admissions/pre-op patient check-in.
• Communicates with patients over the telephone regarding procedural information.
• Assist with patient scheduling and coordination.
• Posting payments, transferring any remaining balances to the appropriate party and making any needed adjustments.
• Billing insurance claims and working insurance denials.
• Maintaining the daily deposit log.
• Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
• General clerical duties and any other business office duty as assigned by management.
