Processes and monitors billing and follow up of claims submitted for payment to insurance payors, governmental payors and state agencies. This role involves preparing billing and follow-ups on claims in a timely manner, performing accurate and timely billing and account reviews, and conducting account reviews to ensure accurate billing information. The Patient Account Rep also serves as a liaison between patients, employers, and carriers to resolve claim issues and processes patient inquiry requests within 24 hours. Additionally, this role requires maintaining knowledge of ever-changing payer guidelines and regulations, demonstrating mastery of computer programs and office machines, and documenting and submitting required information in a timely fashion.
