About The Position

The Training Coordinator assists in the coordination, development and delivery of training for registration staff in the facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to initial training of new hires, retraining existing staff, communicating and reinforcing changes in process and systems as updates occur, and being a subject matter expert for facility registration staff. When not training, will work in a float registrar role by providing indirect patient care, greeting and registering patients, verifying patient demographics, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Experience in related healthcare or customer service industries, with direct customer interaction or data entry responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Clear understanding of the impact registration services has on Revenue Cycle operations.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to effectively anticipate and respond to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use PC based office productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel) as necessary; general computer skills necessary to work effectively in an office environment.
  • Promotes a harmonious work environment.
  • Dedication to treating both internal and external constituents as clients and customers, maintaining a flexible customer service approach and orientation that emphasizes service satisfaction and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two (2) previous years of related healthcare experience.
  • Previous Meditech strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding preferred.
  • Additional languages preferred.
