About The Position

This role involves monitoring and managing vehicle traffic in the hospital's drop-off and pick-up area, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. The attendant will assist with general inquiries, provide wheelchairs, coordinate with transport teams, and maintain a safe and organized entrance. Effective communication and adherence to company policies are key.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older to apply
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in English
Ability to sit for extended periods and the ability to walk short distances
Ability to operate a computer and cash register
Ability to count money and make change if necessary
Be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction
Maintain uniform standards
Maintain a professional and polite manner
Adheres to VPNE’s attendance policy

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage vehicle traffic in the hospital drop-off and pick-up area.
Ensure vehicles do not remain parked or stopped in the loading zone for extended periods.
Assist patients and visitors with general questions regarding hospital locations, departments, and directions.
Provide wheelchairs to patients arriving at the entrance when needed.
Contact and coordinate with the transport team for patient assistance and escorts.
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming entrance area.
Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, staff, valet, and security teams.
Assist with crowd control and maintain clear access for emergency and hospital vehicles.
Report any concerns, incidents, or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
