About The Position

Baptist North is currently hiring for a Full-Time Patient Access Supervisor to join their team at the Baptist ED Oakleaf location in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Supervisor must be willing to participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule and be available to assist during system downtimes. Certain shifts may vary to accommodate night shift rounding and weekend rounding responsibilities. On-call duties will be required from Friday at 5:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. on a rotating basis.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
  • 1-2 years Healthcare experience required
  • 1-2 years Insurance experience required
  • High School Diploma Required
  • CRCS and/or CHAA at least 1 within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information.
  • Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually.
  • Possesses a strong understanding and able to explain State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members including peer leaders in other departments.
  • Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assists in the On-Call rotation for the assigned area including staffing as needed.
  • Provides daily leadership to the assigned department in coordination with the PAS Manager.
