About The Position
Baptist Silverleaf is currently hiring for a Full-Time Patient Access Supervisor to join our team here in the Jacksonville, FL area. Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Requirements
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
- 1-2 years Healthcare experience required
- 1-2 years Insurance experience required
- High School Diploma Required
- CRCS and/or CHAA at least 1 within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information.
- Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
- Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
- Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
- Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually
- Possesses a strong understanding and able to explain State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
- Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members including peer leaders in other departments.
- Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
- Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assists in the On-Call rotation for the assigned area including staffing as needed.
- Provides daily leadership to the assigned department in coordination with the PAS Manager.
