The Patient Access Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information is collected, and facilitating a smooth patient flow through the Northwestern Medicine system. The specialist will also perform medical necessity checks, communicate financial responsibilities to patients, and collaborate with various departments to ensure patient needs are met. Continuous learning and adaptation to healthcare policy changes are expected.
