The Patient Access Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, performing medical necessity checks, and managing patient accounts. The specialist will also collaborate with various departments, utilize multiple online systems for verification, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Cross-training between departments may be required to ensure coverage.
