About The Position
This role is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and procedures, gathering and entering patient information, coordinating insurance verification and pre-authorization, and educating patients on pre-service requirements. The position may also involve assisting patients with transport, movement, or placement for imaging services.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Medical Office Experience
- BLS or willing to obtain
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual a plus
- CNA, PCT, or Patient Transporting Experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures accurately with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient flow and resource utilization.
- Gather and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the appropriate database to establish a complete and compliant patient record.
- Coordinate insurance verification and pre-authorization processes to ensure financial clearance and reduce out-of-pocket stress for the patient.
- Educate patients on pre-service requirements, instructions, and financial responsibilities, promoting a clear and comfortable experience.
- May assist patients with transport, movement or placement for imaging services
