About The Position
Registers or pre-registers patients by conducting the patient interview to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information. The patient is processed in a professional and efficient manner to avoid delay of treatment. Obtains complete and accurate financial information for correct billing and to secure reimbursement.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- One year experience in health care environment or customer relations required.
- CPAR, CHAA or departmental certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of college or prescribed course of study in business or healthcare field preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- CPAR (HFMA Certification) or CHAA (NAHAM Certification) preferred.
