About The Position
Work Schedule: 70% FTE, day shift working 28 hours per week scheduled Monday - Wednesday and every other Sunday from 8:30 am – 5 pm. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Patient Access Representative - Hospital to: Enter and verify demographic and insurance information, identify and collect patient financial obligations, and register or admit patients. Promote a positive patient and family experience, exhibit empathy, engage in compassionate collections, and demonstrate strong communication skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management or related field
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare, call center, business, financial or insurance related field
