About The Position

The Patient Access Representative Float travels as needed to Amberwell clinic locations. This role conducts professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information. It requires understanding insurance terminology, collecting information needed to bill payors, verifying patient insurance and benefits eligibility, and gathering statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations. The representative completes payment transactions using appropriate negotiating techniques to professionally collect amounts owed by patients and guarantors, and refers them to financial resources such as payment plans and lines of credit when appropriate. The position is responsible for quality performance and service excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel as needed to Amberwell clinic locations.
• Interview patients to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information.
• Gather information needed to appropriately bill payors.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and confirm benefits eligibility.
• Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Complete payment transactions and professionally collect money owed by patients and guarantors.
• Refer patients and guarantors to appropriate financial resources, including payment plans and lines of credit.
