About The Position

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers. This position is located in the Behavioral Health Department in Putnam, CT. The major job duties include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining information from patients, posting procedures, and collecting fees. The role requires excellent customer service and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including dental, medical, health support, and community program staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Typing and computer skills essential
• Familiarity with medical/dental terminology and billing procedures is necessary
• Detailed oriented
• Able to handle multi-tasking in a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary school education preferred
• Experience in medical/dental office is helpful
