About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist to join our Emergency Department team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with experience in Hospital, Clinical, Emergency Room (ER), or Urgent Care settings. ER experience is highly preferred due to the fast-paced nature of this role. This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. This is a fully onsite position in Los Angeles, CA.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, ER, or urgent care environment
Experience with patient intake coordination and registration
Strong EMR/EHR experience (Epic experience highly preferred)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Nice To Haves

Emergency Room (ER) registration experience
Epic EMR experience
Experience with insurance verification and patient access functions
Active Directory and access management knowledge

Responsibilities

Conduct patient interviews to collect and verify demographic, insurance, and registration information
Accurately enter patient data into the hospital information system and EMR
Coordinate patient intake and registration processes in a busy Emergency Department
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary documentation
Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and clinical staff
Assist with access management and patient account maintenance
Ensure compliance with hospital registration procedures and privacy guidelines
