About The Position

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers. This position is located in Willimantic, CT in the Medical Department. The major job duties include greeting patients, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, obtaining information from patients, posting procedures, and collecting fees. The role requires excellent customer service and the ability to work as a team with a multidisciplinary team including dental, medical, behavioral, health support, and community program staff.

Requirements

High school diploma
Typing and computer skills essential
Familiarity with dental/medical terminology and billing procedures is necessary
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to handle multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Post secondary school education preferred
Experience in dental/medical office is helpful
Bilingual candidate (Spanish/English) preferred based on patient population
