About The Position

Adventist Health Rideout is looking for a Patient Access Representative for a full-time, 8-hour day shift position. This role requires the individual to work onsite at our location in Marysville, CA. The position is responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for all pertinent account information, verifying insurance, and calculating and collecting patient liability amounts. The representative will also ensure all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment, answer questions, explain policies clearly, check for physician orders, and print and collate necessary paperwork. Additionally, the role involves escorting patients to their designated areas or referring them to an available escort.

Requirements

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
Acknowledge and read the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices.

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate patient registration.
Interview patients for all pertinent account information.
Verify all insurance and calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
Answer any questions and explain policies clearly.
Check for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received.
Print and collate any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department.
Escort patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.
Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance.
Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
