About The Position

Registers patients accurately and efficiently using multiple systems and interfaces. The representative is cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas and maintains service excellence during face-to-face and telephone interactions with patients and visitors. The role contributes to annual Patient Access Services (PAS) goals, including collections and palm scanning. It requires understanding applicable state and federal regulations, maintaining professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members, explaining compliance documentation, ensuring required patient consent forms are completed, and protecting patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Primary location: Town Center - Main Building Freestanding ED, 4085 Town Center Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32246, United States of America.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations, including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
