About The Position

The Collector/Customer Service Rep - Government reports to the HPA Collection Supervisor. Under general supervision, the Government Collector resolves unpaid Medicare accounts, submits adjusted claims as needed for overpayments and completes compliance projects within the specified time frame. This role also involves preparing and processing payments for vendor invoices and other financial obligations in accordance with internal accounting policies. It includes reviewing purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed, maintaining and reconciling accounts payable ledger, and responding to vendor inquiries to resolve any discrepancies in billings and payments. The position may also process requests for employee expense reimbursements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year of customer service experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred
  • Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred
