This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety by identifying the correct patient, special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators. The position also involves providing customer service to patients, families, staff, and external agencies for accurate patient registration, admission, and scheduling. Responsibilities include investigating and resolving customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures, and contacting outside representatives for information or assistance. Maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding personal medical and financial information is crucial. The role also requires completing and authenticating documents for compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH) and supporting the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by obtaining and accurately entering necessary data, information, and forms into the appropriate system. This includes communicating with management about system errors or recommending changes.
