This position provides assistance and services to patients, families, staff, and external agencies in the accurate completion of patient registration, admission, and scheduling. The role involves investigating and resolving customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures, and contacting outside representatives for information or assistance. The Patient Access Representative also maintains confidentiality and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information, and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies by completing and authenticating necessary documents. Additionally, this role supports the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by ensuring accurate data entry into the appropriate system and communicating system errors or recommendations for changes to management.
