This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety by identifying the correct patient, recognizing special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators. The position also involves providing customer service to patients, families, staff, and external agencies for accurate patient registration, admission, and scheduling. It requires investigating and resolving customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures, and contacting outside representatives for information or problem resolution. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding patient/family information is crucial. The role supports the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by ensuring necessary data, information, and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system. This may involve communicating with management about system errors or recommending system changes.
