As a Patient Access Rep, you play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by accurately scheduling prescribed procedures and managing registration duties. You'll communicate with patients, participants, and staff to coordinate schedules efficiently, resolve procedural issues, and provide essential pre-service counseling. Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency.
- 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology, medical office, or acute hospital desk clerk experience.
- Computer, telephone, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Gather and enter patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the appropriate database.
- Schedule patient procedures to optimize time and clinical resources.
- Coordinate and communicate patient schedules with relevant parties.
- Assist with insurance pre-certification and authorization activities.
- Provide pre-service counseling to patients or their representatives regarding requirements and instructions.
