This role involves collecting required data elements for the intake process, utilizing the hospital bed board/patient tracking system, and maintaining knowledge of various sponsored programs, payers, and authorization requirements. The position also requires validating patient eligibility and benefits, obtaining insurance verification, explaining regulatory documents to patients, and collecting patient financial responsibility payments. Additionally, the role includes greeting customers, answering telephones, complying with departmental policies, entering data for bed polls and notifications, participating in interdepartmental committees, completing the Midnight Census, and participating in performance improvement activities.
