About The Position

The Patient Access Float Representative performs the duties of all Patient Access Representative functions across the hospital and clinic settings, including PBX/IA, Central Registration, Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging, Insurance Verification, Outpatient Clinic Registration, Surgery Registration, and Rehab Services. This role demands a high degree of flexibility as the Float position may be scheduled to cover various roles for vacation relief, sick calls, and other vacancies, including periods of high patient census. Individuals in this role can schedule time off through the department manager. Failure to fulfill the duties may result in a status change to “per diem,” leading to the termination of listed benefits.
