The Patient Access / Registration role in the OB ED department is responsible for the pre-registration process of patient admissions. This includes obtaining approvals and payments on site, explaining insurance and private pay liabilities, and referring patients requiring financial counseling. The position also involves accurately entering and updating all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability, posting payments to the appropriate screen, and completing reconciliation reports.
