About The Position

This is a full-time position in Ambulatory Care / PT Rehab Registration working 8-hour shifts 5 days a week, which could be any day of the week. The role involves registering patients by obtaining necessary and accurate financial and demographic information. You will receive, investigate, and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner. The position requires determining the financial status of the patient and/or guarantor, completing all financial/insurance related functions and signatures, and communicating with third-party payors to obtain insurance benefits and authorizations. You will also collect money due from the patient at admission or prior to discharge, complete all necessary reports, and communicate with Case Management, Patient Financial Services, the Self/Pay/Medicaid eligibility Team, and other departments as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Patient Account Technician CPAT preferred, but not required
  • Associate's degree preferred or process of obtaining one
