About The Position

North Central Surgical Center, a Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Full-Time Patient Access Coordinator to join their Imaging team. This surgical-focused hospital performs over 12,000 procedures annually and is managed by United Surgical Partners International. The Patient Access Coordinator will interact with patients, families, physicians, and staff, performing a variety of tasks related to patient registration and administrative duties.

Requirements

• Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Process patient paperwork.
• Enter patient demographics/information in system.
• Collect monies due and document in billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedure.
• Explain insurance benefits to patients.
• Access medication storage areas for patient registration and clerical functions.
• Float to different patient access areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Authorized to access medication storage areas for the purpose of performing patient registration, clerical functions, and other related duties as assigned.
• Floats to different patient access areas as needed or as assigned.
