About The Position

The Patient Access Associate provides patient-facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. The role ensures patient accounts have valid insurance coverage and current demographic and clinical information. It calculates patients’ financial responsibility, explains available financial options and requirements, processes payments, and obtains required patient consent and acknowledgements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, a clinical role, or related clerical, accounting, finance, retail, or customer service work.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Prior Epic experience.
• Certification with the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.
