About The Position

The Patient Access Associate serves as patient-facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. The role ensures patient accounts have valid insurance coverage and current demographic and clinical data. The associate calculates patient financial responsibility, presents financial options and requirements, processes patient payments, and obtains patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms and notices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, a clinical role, or related clerical, accounting, finance, or retail work.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Prior Epic experience.
• Certification with the Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.
