About The Position

Our Patient Access Assistants are the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and perform registration duties within the hospital and clinic. This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more!

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year clerical, administrative or customer service experience OR 1 year of prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform registration duties within the hospital and clinic.
  • Verify patient and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Obtain and identify information necessary to produce billable patient accounts.
