Duties involve pre-service outreach to patients, greeting customers warmly, promoting self-service tools, interviewing patients, preparing admitting and related forms, assigning rooms for inpatients, monitoring waiting areas, and preparing information and charges for billing. The role also handles cashiering and insurance verification, including collecting deposits, explaining financial requirements, and verifying insurance coverages and precertification needs. Additionally, it involves assisting patients with self-registration via kiosks or personal devices and reconciling daily cash.
