Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Valid Driver’s License
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Ability to provide outstanding guest service
Ability to work up to 28 hours a week
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays
Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc.
Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
This position requires walking, standing, bending, and overhead reaching
Ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
Basic computer knowledge

Nice To Haves

Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education, Animal Science, Psychology, Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
Prior guest/customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

Enthusiastically represents Busch Gardens by displaying a positive attitude and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
Initiate interactions with guests to proactively provide animal and park information.
Conduct informative and engaging animal presentations on microphone at animal habitats and interpret veterinary procedures in real-time
Organize, inventory, and prepare materials for educational experiences.
Facilitate tours of the Animal Care Center and promote educational tour experiences.
Ensures safety of guests at animal exhibits and behind the scenes.
Maintain professional quality standards with guest interactions in times of high stress.
Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
