About The Position

An examination of functional changes in cells, tissues and organs consequent to disease or injury. Topics may include the mechanisms of inflammation, hypertension, coronary artery disease, concussion, asthma, hepatitis, dysentery as well as other multi-organ conditions from environmental or other types of stress.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology or Human Health Sciences.
  • Internal member of the CTF bargaining unit.
  • CV (required).

  • Evidence of Good Teaching (required for external applicants).
  • Verification of highest degree (required for external applicants).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures for the Pathophysiology course.
  • Assess student applications based on the Candidate Application Form (CAF), Curriculum Vitae, and any specifically referenced pages in supplemental documents.
  • Adhere to the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement and program-specific rubrics in the assessment process.
  • Potentially coordinate large classes or multi-section courses.
  • Potentially provide marking and grading allowances.
