About The Position
Hospital in Northeastern Ohio seeking a full-time Medical Director to supervise the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services. This role offers a beautiful and safe location with PA support on site to perform grossing and laboratory front office support. The practice includes a General Surgical Pathology Practice, participation in Tumor Board and On-Call coverage, with no autopsies and approximately 20 cases per day.
Requirements
- MD./D.O. with Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Ohio Medical License
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laboratory Director
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Critical and strategic thinking
- Experience in medical staff functions, working knowledge of hospital operations, quality improvement and strategic planning
- The ability and desire to interact with medical center physicians, hospital administration and laboratory staff
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hematopathology a plus
