About The Position

The Pathology Account Executive is an entrepreneurial, “product expert” missionary “hunter” sales opportunity to build a business with an exciting new biopsy technology. This position is accountable for creating a sales plan, managing leads and opportunities and developing a strong reference network of Academic Centers with the focus on building the use of SmartBx in pathology labs as the standard of care for soft tissue biopsies. This person would also support practices implementing the pay-per- procedure programs to ensure urologists and laboratories are identified and trained to increase quick adoption of SmartBx. The target accounts will be academic innovative Urology and Pathology opinion leaders in teaching hospitals - and working with NIH and focal therapy opinion leaders. The Account Executive will be responsible for prospecting, educating KOLs about the products, training academic, PPP and laboratory accounts and assisting in managing clinical trials and new product development. They will need to have an understanding of the account strategically including economic, technical and user decision-makers to close product evaluations and sales and expand utilization to all urologists within each facility. Requirements

  • Must have experience in outside sales with a proven successful record.
  • Must show ability to build product awareness and educate a new market in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must have a car and be willing to travel including weekends for tradeshows or to meet with customers.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other employees to develop and win sales.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidates will also have successful experience in one or more of the following:
  • Successful sales experience with physicians at premier teaching hospitals
  • Experience in the pathology laboratory or urology
  • Successful sales into medical/pathology laboratories
  • Experience working in a start-up environment or launching a game-changing medical product would be highly valued.
  • BS or BA Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales goals established in the company business plan
  • Prospect for new customers through targeted sales calls.
  • Work closely with internal team to build brand awareness, educate physicians, and generate a strong sales pipeline to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Support PPP customers to ensure clinicians are trained in using the SmartBx device and laboratories are identified and trained in the proper processing of SmartBx samples.
  • Train other team members (Clinical Specialists, Territory Managers, etc.) in proper training and implementation of SmartBx as needed.
  • Work with customers to understand unmet needs and bring new product ideas to R&D.
  • Attend local and national tradeshows as needed and follow up on inquiries and leads promptly.
  • Work with U.S. CEO and Israel Clinical Manager to establish and manage local Key Opinion Leaders in a manner to drive sales through peer-to-peer selling
  • Maintain CRM customer call records daily and report weekly regarding progress in the sales pipeline.
  • Continually provide customer market feedback about messaging and product features.
  • Work within assigned budget guidelines and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
  • Gain strong clinical knowledge in the area of soft tissue biopsy and Prostate cancer.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
