About The Position
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking candidates for a full-time pathologist position at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital. This role is part of a community pathology practice that emphasizes work-life balance and is supported by knowledgeable practice management professionals and the resources of the larger Corewell Health system. The department handles approximately 25,000 surgical accessions, 10,000 Pap smears, and 2,500 cytology/FNA accessions annually. There are opportunities for teaching in affiliation with the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP or AP.
- Unrestricted License - Michigan MD/DO
- BC Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
Responsibilities
- Perform pathology services within the Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital.
- Process approximately 25,000 surgical accessions annually.
- Process approximately 10,000 Pap smears annually.
- Process approximately 2,500 non-gynecologic cytology/FNA accessions annually.
- Engage in teaching opportunities if desired, in affiliation with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
