About The Position
Carle Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Anatomical and Clinical Pathologist to join their established Pathology team at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. This is a PRN position, and new graduates are welcome to apply. The role requires training in both Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, with additional training in Cytopathology being preferred but not mandatory. The pathologist will join a team of two other BC Pathologists supporting Anatomical and Clinical Pathology laboratory services for one hospital, multiple clinic sites, and an endoscopy center. Responsibilities include general surgical sign-out covering case types such as GI, breast, GYN, GU, derm, and head and neck. The position also involves performing frozen sections. Autopsies are not required. The clinical laboratory is fully automated with extensive specialized testing capabilities across all sections. There is a potential for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology
- Training in both Anatomical and Clinical Pathology required
Nice To Haves
- Additional training in Cytopathology preferred
