About The Position

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a compassionate, experienced Physician (PRN) to support our hospice and palliative care programs. In this role, you’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (hospice, palliative care, internal medicine, family medicine, oncology, or related field)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Hospice & Palliative Medicine)
• Active Colorado Physician License
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to travel locally

Responsibilities

• Provide physician services across hospice and palliative care settings (inpatient, outpatient, and home/facility visits)
• Collaborate with attending physicians and care teams on goals of care, pain management, and symptom control
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and contribute to care planning
• Review patient referrals to assess diagnosis, prognosis, and eligibility
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions between palliative and hospice care
• Serve as a clinical resource and liaison to physicians, hospitals, and community partners
• Participate in on-call rotation (evenings/weekends) and provide after-hours support as needed
• Step in for Medical Director responsibilities when designated
