About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Pathologist at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in California. This is an out-patient clinic position with a great patient population. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours between 0600 and 1630. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5, 9.5, or 10.5-hour period, including a 30-minute or 60-minute lunch break, respectively. The Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) healthcare worker will not be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period. There is a possibility of moving between the Naval Medical Center San Diego and Naval Branch Health Clinic MCAS Miramar either weekly or more frequently. This position offers no nights, no weekends, and no holidays, and freedom from malpractice insurance worries. Salary is to be determined, with employee or 1099 status available in the range of $140-200 per hour.

Requirements

  • Board certification through American Board of Pathology in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in California.
  • Completion of graduate medical education program in pathology or a pathology subspecialty accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • At least five years of independent clinical practice required.
  • BLS
