About The Position

Northwestern Medical Group is recruiting a full-time pathologist for its community-based practice in Lake Forest, Illinois. The employed position includes hospital privileges at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital. The practice is part of an expanding, physician-led multispecialty group that promotes a collegial work environment, physician success, and compassionate care. The group uses the EPIC electronic health record system.

General duties include surgical pathology, including frozen sections; cytopathology, including immediate fine-needle aspiration assessments; hematopathology, including bone marrows and lymph nodes; AP/CP call; and administrative, educational, and operational committee duties. The stated salary range is $290,000 to $370,000 per year.

Requirements

• Be an AP/CP board-certified pathologist.
• Be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Illinois.

• Subspecialty training or expertise in breast or gynecologic pathology, or hematopathology.

Responsibilities
