About The Position

Pathology Services has opened a brand new state-of-the-art medical laboratory in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new facility backed by a trusted laboratory with nearly 60 years of laboratory excellence. This role is open to both General and Fellowship-trained, US Board Eligible or Certified Pathologists. The facility is the first in Nebraska to utilize the Hologic Genius™ Digital Diagnostics System for cytology. It is a purpose-built facility with the latest technology and equipment, offering diverse casework across anatomic and clinical pathology including surgical pathology, cytopathology, frozen sections, consults, and lab directorship opportunities. Pathology Services is a proven laboratory leader with 90+ locations across Nebraska, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Since 1967, Pathology Services has been a locally based leader in clinical and anatomic pathology, founded in North Platte, Nebraska. The team combines decades of diagnostic experience with a personal, community-focused approach. As part of a growing partnership with Interpath Laboratory, they continue to expand access to advanced technology and testing while keeping their roots and dedication to exceptional local service in Nebraska.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Completion of residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • AP/CP board certified or board eligible
  • Licensure in the state of Nebraska (can be obtained after acceptance of offer)
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic services across anatomic and clinical pathology, including: Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Frozen sections, Consultations, Lab Directorship
  • Collaborate with physicians, laboratory professionals, and administrative teams
  • Participate in laboratory quality programs, peer review, and case consultations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of results
