This role presents a unique opportunity for pathologists to contribute to the development and implementation of novel assays, aiming to increase patient access to innovative therapies. You will work with cutting-edge technologies including Immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, immunofluorescence, multiplex assays, and digital pathology. This position is based onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
US Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology.
Active state medical license.
Residency training in anatomic pathology with expertise in surgical pathology.
Proven ability to assess histopathology, IHC, ISH, and multiplex assays.
Experience in evaluating complex immunohistochemistry assays (e.g., PD-L1, HER2, Ki-67).
Passion for precision medicine and companion diagnostics (CDx) and the "right drug, right patient, right time" philosophy.
Comfort utilizing digital pathology scanners, automated algorithms, and advanced staining platforms (VENTANA Benchmark).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, working with scientists, engineers, and other experts to drive FDA submissions and clinical trial success.

Nice To Haves

Fellowship trained with 1 year of experience in clinical practice or industry.
Prior experience in immunohistochemistry, cytology, molecular, and/or genetics.

Responsibilities

Provide crucial pathology and slide reading support for assay development, FDA submissions, and clinical trials.
Collaborate with internal and external development teams.
Support the development of primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and special stains.
Advise on future pathology and medical needs.
Serve as a medical representative on project core teams, contributing to pathology-related aspects of development projects.
Drive continuous improvement in work processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilize expertise to advise on future pathology and medical needs, maintaining industry leadership.
