About The Position
Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time Pathologist to join its hospital-based practice in Oceanside. Mount Sinai South Nassau is an award-winning, acute care, not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside, New York, which is part of the Mount Sinai Health and it includes nine other satellite facilities in the region. Mount Sinai South Nassau is one of the region’s largest hospitals, with 455 beds, more than 900 physicians and 3,500 employees. Mount Sinai South Nassau has been delivering exceptional patient care for over 80 years. We currently have an opportunity for a Board Certified\Eligible AP/CP Pathologist with a NYS MD License and excellent diagnostic and communication skills to join a hospital-based practice.
Requirements
- NYS MD License
- Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
- Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Subspecialty training\experience is welcome
Responsibilities
- Examines over 14,000 surgical specimens annually.
- Works within a 24/7 Lab encompassing all Pathology Disciplines including Microbiology, Biochemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology.
