About The Position
National Star Services, a 27-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking Pastry Helpers for its location in Des Plaines, IL 60018. This role involves assisting the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products. The position requires working at various stations, including fruit cutting, economy packing, juice preparation, basket assembly, and food plating. Adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations is mandatory, and any issues with the food safety management system must be reported to management and the hygiene and food safety team. Duties will be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Own transportation to get to and from work.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
- Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.

- A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
Responsibilities
- Assisted the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products.
- Work in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
- Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety tea.
- Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
