Position Summary The Bindery Helper production operations by preparing and finishing printed materials according to established quality standards. This role ensures efficient workflow, m aintains production quality, and contributes to a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Up to one month of related experience or training preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a satisfactory background check

Responsibilities

  • Catch and band all types and sizes of materials coming off folders
  • Assemble boxes and power packs before and during production runs
  • Read and follow instructions on bindery job jackets
  • Enter job information into the PSI system at the start and completion of each job
  • Stock worktables with necessary materials (bands, tape, load tickets, rubber bands)
  • Maintain a clean and organized bindery area
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks: Blow off machines using an air hose, Clean air pump filters, Oil folders and sweep floors as needed, Mix and refill water score systems as needed
  • Move materials to designated locations using a pallet jack or forklift
  • Work overtime and weekends as based on production needs
  • Review and understand job instructions prior to starting work
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the production process
  • Obtain job approval from a supervisor or lead operator
  • Minimize material waste
