About The Position

This position is responsible for measuring, cutting and preparing products for baking. Primary duties include preparing doughs and batters following written recipes, decorating and finishing baked cakes, pies and pastries, and assembling and filling requisitions for outlets. Secondary duties involve maintaining a clean and sanitary work area throughout the entire shift.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a baker or previous training within the pastry department or at a culinary school
  • Previous experience producing baked goods and pastries on a large scale
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Able to read recipes and follow written directions
  • Able to produce baked goods and pastries on a large scale
  • Must have a complete working knowledge of the bake shop and all components
  • Understanding of health and sanitation guidelines
