About The Position

The Selland's Team is looking for a new Team Member! As a Pastry Cook, you are vital to consistency upholding our culinary standards, embodying our core values of Hospitality, Teamwork, Excellence, Impact, and Pride in every batch. You are responsible for ensuring that every guest experiences our warmth through perfectly executed baked goods. This role requires a blend of technical precision, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to maintaining a pristine, professional kitchen environment.

Requirements

Available to work afternoon/evenings (5:00am -2:00pm)
Ability to always be positive, attentive, and hospitable
A willingness to learn and grow
Valid Responsible Beverage Serving (RBS) Card
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Must be at least 18 years of age (or have a valid work permit)
Reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

Accurately mix, bake, and decorate all products according to the bakery inventory list.
Maintain the highest standards of quality by tasting products and ensuring all items are prepped and cooked to perfection.
Take full ownership of your station, including maintaining product pars, completing daily inventory sheets, and ensuring all products are properly stored and labeled at the end of each shift.
Ensure every item produced meets our "guest-ready" standard.
Maintain expert knowledge of sanitary food handling practices to ensure the safety and satisfaction of everyone we serve.
Work shifts as a cohesive unit by communicating effectively with the kitchen team and assisting in the loading of delivery vans to ensure our products reach their destination safely and on time.
Maintain a spotless workspace and take pride in the "clean as you go" philosophy to ensure a safe and efficient environment for the whole team.
